Yoga for beginners provides a great opportunity to learn about this from the get go.
During your journey, you will be introduced to yoga poses, the staple of teaching yoga in the West. However, you will also learn yoga philosophy and etiquette and even some Sanskrit, the ancient language of Hinduism. Yogic breathing techniques and relaxation methods meant for optimal health and wellbeing are also woven into class.
You are encouraged to develop your own mind:body awareness. This is facilitated through practising good alignment and movement patterns, coupled with correct breathwork and recognising your own body limitations which works to help keep yourself safe and prevent injury.
